Body as storyteller, Rust allows the 55+ dancer to continue sharing the wealth of stories that live in the body while improving balance, posture, body awareness & building an honest & loving relationship with our vintage bodies. By modifying the fundamentals of groove, contemporary, ballet & pilates to playfully & safely invite each body into its unique potentiality, this movement-based class invites the body to take up space, to lubricate the joints, and to drop into the somatic medicine of movement and music in community. Come enjoy a space where freedom of embodied expression is available with the body you have at the ripe & beautiful age you are. We will laugh & there will be no jumps & no going to the floor!
What to Bring
Please wear the following on your feet. Bare feet with half socks, halfsoles, or foot undies since there’s turns involved. There may also be some floor work so knee pads are recommended for people with sensitive knees.
Water bottle and wear layers that get you in the mood and allow you to adjust temperature.
